miDiagnostics is een innovatieve spin-off van imec, de wereldleider in nano-elektronica, en Johns Hopkins University, de prestigieuze Amerikaanse universiteit voor onderzoek en geneeskunde. Het bedrijf biedt een revolutionaire technologie aan voor snelle en nauwkeurige diagnostiek van verschillende gezondheidsaandoeningen. De technologie is gebaseerd op een siliconenchip die geïntegreerd is in een PCR kaart. Deze kaart kan kleine hoeveelheden biologisch materiaal verwerken op een volautomatische manier. De kaart wordt gelezen door een PCR reader die zorgt voor een ultrasnelle analyse en optische detectie. De technologie is compact en gebruiksvriendelijk, waardoor ze geschikt is voor gebruik in elke omgeving. miDiagnostics streeft naar diagnostiek voor iedereen, overal en altijd.

The Belgian Nuclear Research Centre SCK CEN is one of the largest research institutions in Belgium. SCK CEN, created in 1952, is a Foundation of Public Utility with a legal status according to private law under the tutorial of the Belgian federal Minister in charge of Energy.
